Mistfall Hunter Walkthrough: Main Story & Quests

Mistfall Hunter's story is a quest chain around one loop: take a contract, extract Gyldenblod, survive, return to camp, upgrade. This walkthrough covers the opening, all 12 main quests and 9 side quests, camp unlocks, and how the game opens up after the tutorial.

The opening (0–30 minutes)

  1. Cross the sea of Gyldenblod to reach Winds' Rest, the starting hub.
  2. Meet Dew — the fate goddess fragment who revives fallen heroes — for your first dialogue.
  3. Prepare at the warehouse and accept your first formal contract.
  4. First main quest — Voice of Prayer: find the white crow Soekja, travel to Hallowgrove's Verdant Grounds, and locate Pip with the praying worshippers. The worshipper is already dead — bring back his broken bell. Dew identifies him as a craftsman whose soul was lured away by a Divine Anchor vision. Use the bell fragments to summon his spirit back to camp (the ritual takes time).

This opening is your tutorial extraction: you learn that you can't extract without a Soul of Return (dropped by the rare Returner Woodling) and that death drops everything.

The core loop

After the opening, the game settles into its rhythm: pick a quest → load into Hallowgrove (or later Brandrgarde) → fight other hunters and the world's monsters → gather Gyldenblod and loot → find and kill the Returner Woodling → extract with a Soul of Return → spend currency at camp → take the next quest. Side content unlocks camp facilities that make each run stronger.

All main quests

  1. Voice of Prayer
  2. The Last Follower
  3. The Eccentric Blacksmith
  4. Bell of Return
  5. Guidance of Fate
  6. Siblings
  7. Iron and Fire
  8. The Flesheater's Feast
  9. Reunion
  10. Secrets
  11. What is Fate?
  12. Soul Experiment

The arc moves from investigating the corrupted believers (Divine Anchor visions) toward the larger question of what fate and the gods' fall really mean — ending in the Soul Experiment questline that sets up the season.

All side quests

  1. Soekja's Solace
  2. Pip's Provision
  3. Path to Prosperity
  4. Third-Rate Storyteller
  5. Where's Stinky I
  6. Not Even Death Can Part Us
  7. Life Must Go On
  8. Woodlings and the Goddess
  9. Where's Stinky II

Side quests are worth doing — they unlock camp facilities and are the main repeatable source of early Gyldenblod and materials.

What's next after the story

After the main quests, progression moves to the season: Season 1 "Slumbering Contract" pass (free after 7 login days, ~700 Soul Coins inside), higher map difficulties (Chaos, Cataclysm), and farming for gear affixes. The devs' Aug 5, 2026 roadmap promises single-player testing for Brandrgarde, new seasonal quests, monsters, weapons and Season 2. Need the full map breakdown?
